The guys over at Modernist Cuisine wanted to know if coffee with cream cools faster or slower then black coffee. It turns out that coffee with cream added actually cools about 20% slower than plain black coffee, so it is best to add the cream immediately. But why is this? I just had a chance to sample a fresh cup of coffee from the Brooklyn Roasting Company Artisanal Coffee. I was really impressed with the quality of their beans. One of the best french press coffees I have tasted in a while. This may have something to do with the new Loring Coffee Roaster. If you have a chance be sure to check these guys out.
The Brooklyn Roasting Company is committed to offering best quality Fair Trade, Organic and Rainforest Alliance certified coffees and espressos. Coffee cupings are available by appointment in their Brooklyn tasting lab. Find out more at www.brooklynroasting.com
About the Brooklyn Roasting Company
The Brooklyn Roasting Company specializes in Fair Trade, Organic and Rain forest Alliance certified coffee. Their focus is on delivering the freshest highest quality coffee beans to the New York area…..
Brooklyn Roasting Company History
Founded in 2009 by Jim Munson of Dallis Coffee. The Brooklyn Roasting Company quickly started selling coffee and espresso to local coffee shops and became the exclusive supplier of Fair Trade certified coffee and espresso to all of Columbia University’s undergraduate and graduate cafes and foodservice locations. Today they are expanding quickly with a move to their new location in DUMBO that will allow them to create even more magic.
There are more and more coffee shops starting to serve Brooklyn Roasting Company coffee. Its hard to keep up but here is out list. Of course we recommend Upright Coffee for the finest tasting BRC coffee around but get it anywhere you can, this is great stuff.

While reading an article about the information graphics in the New York magazine I came across this graphic that clearly tells me Greenpoint Brooklyn could use some more coffee. A shot of espresso always makes me happier.
The Only “Environmentally Green” 1/2 Bag Roasting System
We just visited our coffee roaster, The Brooklyn Coffee Roasting Company and toured their new facilities. They have just installed a new Loring Coffee Roaster and should get it fired up in the next few days. We are really excited to get some of the most earth friendly coffee available. Stop in and have a taste.
